by Catherine Lévesque · National PostOTTAWA — The government’s proposed two-month GST/HST holiday is expected to be adopted in the House of Commons on Thursday despite opposition from Conservatives and the Bloc Québécois.
The Liberals agreed to fast-track legislation that would enact the temporary pause on federal taxes after the NDP said they were ready to pause the Conservative privilege debate that has paralyzed the House for the past two months to pass the bill.
