Nottinghamshire Police have made a CCTV appeal after a reported sexual assault at a Nottingham city centre nightclub. The force says officers have been analysing CCTV footage after the incident, said to have taken place at a venue in Lower Parliament Street on June 25.

Officers have now released an image of a man who they want to speak to in connection with the investigation. PC Octavia Watson, from the force, said: "This was an extremely upsetting incident for the woman involved and we are determined to track down the person responsible.

"We have reviewed a large amount of CCTV footage and are now asking for the public’s help to identify the person in this image, who we believe can assist the investigation." Anyone who recognises the man in the picture or who can help with the investigation is being asked to call the police 101, quoting crime reference 24*374975.

Alternatively, Crimestoppers can also be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
