Two thieves made off with hundreds of pounds worth of razors and electric toothbrushes from a Castle Douglas supermarket.

The shoplifters took a “large volume” of goods from Tesco just after 9am on Thursday morning, before heading in the direction of Queen Street.

One man was wearing black jogging bottoms, black jacket and black trainers. The other was wearing a white T-shirt, black puffer gullet, black jumper and blue jeans.

A police spokesman said: “Officers in Castle Douglas are looking for your help in tracking the movements of the two males. They may have walked to a vehicle parked nearby.

“If you have CCTV/dash cam which may have captured their movements, call 101, quoting CR/0402277/24 or contact Castle Douglas Police Station.”
