Dumfries Lions Club have given an early Christmas present to seven different local organisations with funding awards worth £2,325.

President Belinda Thomson and members of the Lions Club in Dumfries and Galloway were thrilled to be able to help the various clubs and organisations from funds they have raised from various events during the year which were supported by the public.

The recipients were: Dumfries Food Train (£300); River of Life Church (£300); Hale and Hearty Club (£250); First Base Agency foodbank (£500); Queen of the South Community Trust (£300); Summerhill Community Centre (£300) and Corberry Pipers (£375).
