Man arrested in connection with attempted murder in Greenock

Police Scotland have announced that a man has been arrested in connection with the attempted murder of a man in Greenock.

A 53-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attempted murder in Greenock.

On Saturday, September 28, cops rushed to the West Blackhall Street area of the town after receiving reports of a 21-year-old man being found injured.

He was taken to hospital for treatment as police taped off the area to carry out their investigations.

Enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 53-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an attempted murder in Greenock.

"Around 12.10am on Saturday, 28 September, 2024, officers were called to a report of a 21-year-old man found injured in the West Blackhall Street area.

"He was taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing."
