Man raced to hospital after 'disturbance' at Scots shopping centre as cops swarm scene

A man has been rushed to hospital after a "disturbance" at a Scots shopping centre earlier today.

Emergency services raced to the incident at the Livingston Centre in West Lothian after receiving reports of the incident at around 5.20pm on Tuesday, December 17. Crews attended and a male was found injured.

He was rushed to hospital for treatment, where his current condition is unknown. The nature of the disturbance is also unknown.

Officers from Police Scotland say inquiries are ongoing. Images from the scene show multiple cop vehicles parked outside the centre's Las Iguanas restaurant as officers swarmed the area.

An ambulance can also be seen parked outside with paramedics in attendance.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Around 5.20pm on Tuesday, 17 December, 2024 we received a report of a disturbance at a shopping centre in Livingston. A man was taken to hospital for treatment. Enquiries are ongoing."

The Record approached the Scottish Ambulance Service and The Centre, Livingston for comment.
