Man charged after early-hours 'disturbance' on Scots high street

A man has been arrested and charged in connection with an alleged early-hours "disturbance" on a Scots high street.

Officers from Police Scotland raced to the incident in Kirkcaldy's town centre in Fife at 1.20am on Saturday, November 16. Cops confirmed a 27-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection.

He is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court at a later date. Images from the scene show multiple cop vehicles in attendance.

A statement from Police Scotland reads: "A 27-year-old man has been arrested and charged following a disturbance on High Street, Kirkcaldy, around 1.20am on Saturday, 16 November, 2024.

"He is due to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court at a later date. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
