A teenager arrested in connection with the death of John Taylor has been charged. The 19-year-old was detained by officers as part of the probe.

And Police Scotland revealed this evening that the suspect has now been charged in connection with the alleged killing of the 44-year-old.

The suspect is due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court tomorrow, Thursday, October 31, 2024, in connection with his death, after he passed away earlier this month.

He was found with injuries in Pollock Crescent, Kilwinning, North Ayrshire, on Friday, October 18, 2024, and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two men, aged 26 and another 19-year-old, have previously been arrested and charged in connection with the death. The 26-year-old appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court, in East Ayrshire, on Wednesday, 23 October and the 19-year-old on Monday, 28 October.

A 53-year-old man who was previously arrested, has been released pending further enquiries. Detectives have set up a website that gives members of the public access to a form to send information directly to the Major Investigation Team.
