Scots strongman Luke Stoltman has broken his silence after his wife accused him of having an affair while his baby was in hospital.
The five-time Europe’s Strongest Man, 39, said “I regret mistakes that I have made” in a grovelling social media post. It comes after wife Kushi, 31, revealed shocking cheating allegations on Wednesday in a bombshell post on Instagram.
His heartbroken wife claimed that Stoltman refused to visit their sick child and had an affair while Koa, just nine months old, was being treated by doctors.
We reported last week how the couple had split after Kushi’s claim that her husband had a secret relationship with a woman powerlifter.
Posting on his Instagram, Stoltman wrote: "I want to acknowledge the pain caused to my family, friends and community by recent social media and news. I regret the mistakes that I have made and the impact they've had, especially on my family, Kushi and my son, who is my world. While not everything shared is true, I want to be clear that I was with my son in hospital.
"I am committed to acting responsibly and rebuilding the trust of those who feel let down. I am deeply grateful for those who continue to support me, and my focus remains on charging for my son and supporting those affected by this situation.”
Kushi’s shock allegations on her husband came just months after the couple welcomed their baby boy, following years of heartache trying to conceive.
Kushi previously wrote on Instagram: "I thought my world was complete going through so much heartache to get my beautiful baby boy and finally get pregnant and getting that happily ever after I’ve always wanted with my husband after trying for so many years.
“Our son is 9 months old now and this weekend after our son has been in hospital so sick and Luke refusing to come and see him in hospital because he was with another woman behind my back.
“I am absolutely heartbroken and devastated that someone could be so cruel and nasty. He is not the man he portrays himself to be. Thank you very much Luke Stoltman... for torturing me. I have no idea how people in this world can be so cruel.”
Kushi later confirmed her heartbreak online after she was asked if she had been hacked.
“This is all true I’m afraid,” she said. “I am absolutely heartbroken and what I have been put through is unforgivable. People can portray themselves a certain way publicly but their true colours always show in the end. No I have not been hacked and I am so devastated how a man can put his family through this.”
On Friday Kushi said was “overwhelmed” by the outpour of support she has received.
Kushi posted: "Overwhelmed with the amount of support I have received the last few days, it means so much. Each and every one of your messages has brought me some sort of comfort.

"My whole world has been turned upside down and I need to try and rebuild a new life for us and be the best mother I can be for my child. I will be deactivating my account this evening. I need to focus on my mental health for the sake of my son as this has been extremely traumatic."
Stoltman, 39, from Invergordon, Ross-shire, is currently Europe’s Strongest Man claiming the title for the fifth time. Nicknamed the Highland Oak, he is the older brother of current World’s Strongest Man Tom Stoltman.
Tom’s wife Sinead was among those who sent support to her sister-in-law.
