Searching for missing man

Police are seeking the public's assistance in finding a missing Salmon Arm man who hasn't been seen by family or friends in several weeks.

In a press release issued overnight, Const. Andrew Hodges of the Salmon Arm RCMP says 51-year-old John Robinson was reported missing on Thursday, but he hasn't been seen since Sept. 6.

“Police are very concerned for John Robinson's health and well-being and friends and family report that it is out of character for him to be out of contact for this long,” Const. Hodges says.

Robinson is described as a 5-foot-9, 130 pound Indigenous man, who's bald with brown eyes. The photo above, provided by police, is 10 years old and shows Robinson with hair.

He was last seen wearing blue jeans and a baseball hat.

Police are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of Robinson to call police, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous.
