The City of Vernon wants people to share their ideas on housing, transportation, parks, trails, community and culture.

The city is entering the next phase of public engagement for the development of the Official Community Plan (OCP) and Transportation Plan.

The OCP will help shape how planning and land-use decisions are made in Vernon. The transportation plan will guide investments in future transportation systems, including the development of public transit, new roads and cycling paths.

People can fill out the online survey, or paper copies can be picked up and returned at the Community Service Building, 3001 32nd Ave. The survey will be available until Nov. 14.

As part of the engagement, the city will also be hosting an open house on Nov. 7 from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Vernon Library, 2800 30th Ave.
