Manipur Violence News LIVE Updates: Assam Rifles conducted a security coordination meeting at Lailophai, Churachandpur District of Manipur, amid the escalating tensions in the state.

 A high-level security meeting was organised where key representatives from Assam Rifles, Manipur Police, BSF and ITBP were present, PTI reported citing a statement from HQ IGAR (South).

The meeting ended with a joint resolution to boost efforts to ensure a secure and harmonious environment in fringe areas of Kakching, Bishnupur and Churachandpur Districts.

“The reason why our party has withdrawn support from N Biren Singh-led government is (because) things have been going from bad to worse in the state. There has been no change or improvement. The attack on the police station, CRPF camp and abduction of six persons, including three children, and their subsequent murder," he said.

“These things indicate that the government has no control over the administration," the NPP leader said.

The mob entered his ancestral residence to meet him but he was not at home. His father told them that he would convey their message.
