Educational Conclave of Lisieux Group of Institutions begins in Coimbatore
by The Hindu Bureau · The HinduEdu-Con24, a two-day educational conclave titled ‘EnlightenED: Nurturing for Tomorrow’ of Lisieux Group of Institutions, Coimbatore, got off to a start on Thursday with talks by a senior ISRO scientist, an entrepreneur, and other distinguished persons.
At the inaugural session of the conclave at Lisieux Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Principal Fr. Joy Arackal was joined by chief guests K. Subramanian, Retd. Senior Scientist, ISRO, and Nirupama Vyas, Entrepreneur Counsellor, Healer and TEDx speaker, in highlighting the latest developments in the frontier of education in the country. Philips Pontheckan, Principal, Lisieux CMI International School, Coimbatore, also addressed the inaugural session.
During the course of the day, Le Thi Huong, Principal, Times School, Hanoi, Vietnam; Reena Osaki, Lecturer, Happy Science, Japan; and Lukas Fesenmeier, Engineer, Data Scientist, Heidelberg, Germany, made their presentations as special guests.
Dhiraj Premkumar Samuel, president of the Parent-Teacher Association, and Rakesh Menon, president of the Alumni Association, Lisieux MHSS were the guests of honour.
An exhibition on the “Evolution of Indian Education”, a Japanese book fair and a display of the artistic talents of the students were among other highlights of the first day of the conclave.
Fr. Shaju P. Varghese, Correspondent, Lisieux Group of Institutions, Coimbatore, presided over the event.
