Public grievance meeting to be held every Wednesday in BBMP limits
by The Hindu Bureau · The HinduA revenue and grievance adalat will be held every Wednesday under the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) limits to address public grievances and petitions.
BBMP Special Commissioner (Revenue), Munish Moudgil, has issued an order directing officials to conduct the adalats.
As per the order, revenue officials must be present in their respective offices every Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. without fail. They are to conduct the adalat and should not call off the adalat to attend any physical, general, or virtual meetings in other offices.
The officials must ensure proper functioning of office staff during the designated hours and resolve all grievances and petitions received from the public in a timely manner.
The order stated that all Joint Commissioners (JCs), Deputy Commissioners (Revenue) (DCs), revenue officers, and assistant revenue officers in all zones must remain accessible in their offices to assist the public.
To monitor the effectiveness of these sessions, a review meeting on ‘sakala and grievances’ will be held every Monday under the chairmanship of the Chief Commissioner.
