Tamil Nadu Governor R. N. Ravi on Thursday said that before Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister, the country never had a leader or a Prime Minister with such profound understanding of the nation and Sanatana dharma.

After laying the foundation stone for ‘Ayyavazhi Research Centre’ at Swamithoppu in Kanniyakumari district, he remarked that the Prime Minister has been steadfastly leading the country towards progress ensuring the welfare of all 140 crore Indians without discrimination. He noted that Mr Modi draws inspiration from the principles of Ayya Vaikundar in his vision for an inclusive nation.

“In Sanatana Dharma no one is an outsider. Even those who do not believe it are considered equal. Sanatana Dharma believes in equality of all,” said the Governor. He further added that India is the only country where people from different regions of the world co-exist, and this is primarily because of the Sanatana Dharma.

The Governor highlighted the words of British administrators Warren Hastings and Thomas Munroe who acknowledged that the Indian civilization was far superior to European civilization.

As part of the event, Mr. Ravi also released the republished edition of the book Akilathirattu Ammanai by International Ayyavazhi Service Foundation.

Drawing a parallel with the moral teachings of Thirukkural, he urged people to read the book Akilathirattu Ammanai and follow the principles of Ayya Vaikundar to build a world free of discrimination and inequality.
