CM tells Congress legislators to place facts before people

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah told party legislators to present facts on the government’s works before the people to expose the Opposition parties’ false propaganda.

Speaking at the Congress Legislature Party meeting in Belagavi on Tuesday, the Chief Minister said the State had not faced economic setbacks, and it was among the top States in the collection of the Goods and Service Tax (GST). It was during the BJP government many farmers had received notices related to waqf properties, and the party mentioned in its manifesto about the recovery of encroached waqf properties, he said.

Waqf and Housing Minister Zameer Ahmed Khan would reply to the Opposition charge in the Legislative Assembly, and he had already given a reply in the Upper House, the chief minister said.

Congress legislators from the Mandya district have skipped the CLP meeting citing that they were busy making preparations for the All India Kannada Sahitya Sammelana which will begin on December 20.
