Motorist killed after being hit by mini lorry in Chennai

A 41-year-old resident of Kundrathur in Chennai was killed after being hit by a mini lorry near Moondram Kattalai on Saturday (December 14, 2024). The Chromepet Traffic Investigation police have filed a case and arrested the driver of the mini lorry. 

A senior official of the Tambaram Police Commissionerate said S. Saravanan, a resident of Shiva Vishnu Nagar of Kundrathur, worked at a pharmaceutical company. On Saturday evening, he was taking his wife Padmavathi towards Velachery on his two-wheeler when a mini lorry hit his vehicle from behind on the Porur Kundrathur Main Road.

Saravanan was thrown off his two-wheeler and killed on the spot. The Chromepet Traffic Investigation police reached the spot and sent his body to the Chromepet Government Hospital for postmortem examination.
