Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister directs officials to be alert to the likely impact of Cyclone Fengal
Chief Minister called for proper coordination between departments to mitigate the impact of the cyclonic storm
by V. Raghavendra · The HinduChief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu told the officials to be on high alert to the likelihood of Cyclone Fengal causing widespread damage in the State.
Taking stock of the situation at a high-level meeting with district collectors and senior officials of A.P. State Disaster Management Authority and Real Time Governance Society on Saturday (November 30), Mr. Naidu called for proper coordination to mitigate the impact of the cyclone and suggested that WhatsApp groups would come in handy.
The CM instructed the officials to be geared up to deal with possible flash floods and to make necessary arrangements for relief and rehabilitation in advance.
He also suggested that the farmers be given updates from time to time so that they could protect their crops from heavy rains.
