Enforcement Directorate officer assaulted during raid at farmhouse 

The farmhouse is owned by chartered accountant Ashok Kumar. The police said they have apprehended his brother Yash for attacking the ED officer

“An Enforcement Directorate (ED) officer was allegedly assaulted on Thursday (November 28, 2024) when an agency team raided a farmhouse in a cyber fraud-linked money-laundering case in the south-west Delhi’s Bijwasan area,” the police said.

In a statement, the ED said the officer was injured in the incident, which took place when the agency team raided the farmhouse as part of a money-laundering investigation against “organised” cyber crimes such as phishing and QR code cheating.

The farmhouse is owned by a chartered accountant identified as Ashok Kumar. The police said they have apprehended Mr. Kumar’s brother Yash for attacking the ED officer. “The police are in the process of registering a case in this regard,” DCP (South West) Surendra Choudhury said.
