Training courses for speech, hearing impaired

CPT will conduct the courses for 30 students

The higher education department has allocated Rs. 50 lakh to set up a training facility for persons with disabilities in the Central Polytechnic College. The move follows an announcement made in the 2023-24 budget.

The centre is for students with speech and hearing impairment. The CPT will be trained  on soldering, assembling electronic components and testing boards.

As many as 30 candidates will be admitted for the training. The courses include wiring harness assembly and wireman control panel electronics.

Candidates with a pass in class 8, who have two years’ experience or possess the National Trade Certificate will be admitted. Candidates who have completed class 10 are also eligible to apply. Candidates will be given six months’ training..
