Belgavai man attacks nurse for refusing his advances

A young man attacked a nurse in a private hospital in Belagavi, injuring her, on Monday (November 25, 2024).

Prakash Jadhav attacked the woman with a machete when she was at work in the hospital. He was upset that she had spurned his advances. She fought him off and escaped with her life. She has been admitted to the hospital, but is out of danger, the police said.

He was her neighbour and had repeatedly asked her to marry him. Upon being met with consistent refusal, he approached her father, only to be told to stay away from her. The accused has been arrested and a case registered against him.
