House hunters hit out at tiny £160k flat that is like a 'large cupboard'
by Phoebe Jobling · Manchester Evening NewsHouse hunters have hit out at a tiny studio flat which has been put on the market for £160,000. The small one-bed property which has been listed for sale in Brighton, East Sussex has been likened to a 'large cupboard'.
Situated on the first floor of a Regency building, the 'neat' studio apartment is 'cleverly designed' and is made up of an open-plan living space with a mezzanine sleeping area and a seperate bathroom.
Described as 'ready to move straight into', the estate agent says there is also 'scope for modernisation.' It is described as being placed in a 'hugely popular location in the midst of Brighton's thriving city centre with the beach on your doorstep.

The listing advertised with estate agents Brand Vaughan on Zoopla reads: "This sweet studio flat sits in the midst of Brighton’s thriving city centre, on the ground floor of a Regency building just seconds from the sea.
"It has a separate bathroom and has been cleverly designed with a mezzanine sleeping area and a modern décor so you can move straight in or let it out immediately with ease.

"Brighton Station is an easy walk and you are moments away from Brighton’s social centre making this the perfect first-time buy for commuters and professionals like. With the favoured seaside location and so much to enjoy on its doorstep, it is sure to be snapped up."
The listing concludes: "This is a great pad in a hugely popular location, and while it is in fine shape to move straight into, there is also scope for modernisation should you choose. This is a wonderfully vibrant and historic area to live in, and there is so much going on, right here on your doorstep - from festivals, to theatre shows, live music gigs and more."
Despite being advertised as the 'perfect first-time buy for commuters and professionals like,' house hunters who came across the property listing on Reddit were less than impressed.

Who must live in the kitchen cupboards."

@AlGunner also said: "I dont know why you're complaining. Its not just a cupboard, you've also got a big shelf to sleep on," as @Desperate_Leg8749 said sarcastically: "No floor plan? I find it hard to picture the layout of such a sprawling pad without one."
