Anyone who knows this man is being asked to call police

A man from Oldham was seriously injured after being attacked in Cheshire. The "serious assault" happened in Nantwich town centre at around 1:25am in the early hours of Sunday, June 9 this year.

The 32 year-old victim was punched in the face, at the junction of Swine Market and Waterlode, causing him to fall to the floor and suffer "serious head injuries" Cheshire Police said.

The force have now issued a fresh appeal for information. As part of it, a CCTV man of a man they would like to speak to has been released.

"Anyone who recognises the man in the CCTV, or has any information that may help with the investigation, should contact Cheshire Police on 101 or via www.cheshire.police.uk/tell-us/ quoting IML 1843118" the force said.

"Alternatively, information can be given anonymously by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111" they added.

Officers previously said they were "we are committed to doing all that we can to identify the person responsible."
