Zombie knife found after driver crashes stolen vehicle and runs from police

A zombie knife was found after a driver crashed a stolen vehicle and ran from police on Thursday (October 3). Officers responded to reports of the collision on Crewe Road, near Haslington, in the early hours of the morning.

Two men were then seeing running away from the collision towards Haslington village as multiple police units were called to the area.

After a search, two men, aged 22 and 17, from Stoke-on-Trent, were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, possession of a bladed article and other motoring offences, Cheshire Police said.

The crashed vehicle as also found to be displaying false plates. An investigation into the incident is ongoing. Cheshire Constabulary shared the update on social media on Saturday (October 5).

"On October 3rd in the early hours we received reports of a vehicle that had crashed on Crewe Road Haslington. Two males were then seen to run away from the vehicle towards the village. Multiple units made to the location," the post read.

"After an area search two males were located by patrols and arrested. A search of the vehicle discovered it to be displaying false plates, and a large zombie knife was located inside."
