'Vengeful and vindictive' daughter posted intimate pictures of her father's ex-lover on escort website

A 'vengeful and vindictive' woman who posted intimate pictures of her father's ex-lover on an escort website has been jailed. Eleanor Brown, 24, uploaded the woman's images and created an advert on the site.

She also included the woman's husband's phone number, causing him to receive a large number of phone calls. A court heard on Monday that Brown also sent the images to the woman's husband and posted a review on his business page that read: "I contacted this company for a quote, in response I received naked pictures [of his wife]."

Prosecutor, Lucy Brown, told the court Brown pleaded guilty to two counts of disclosing private sexual photographs or films without consent on the sixth day of her trial after messages between her and her sister were discovered.

Ms Brown said: "Twelve or 13 years ago, her father had an affair... It was relatively short lived but involved them exchanging sexual images or videos of one another. Her mother sent the images to the woman's husband and they had a difficult time but managed to move on.

"In 2017, the woman contacted him again and said the affair had resumed but it was an original image [that was found]. In 2022, the woman's husband set up a business and an online presence. His mobile number was visible on his Facebook page and his business grew well. On 27th August 2022, a post was made on his business Facebook page under Eleanor Brown's name. The post was offensive and made a number of comments about his wife. It called her a 'homewrecking s***' and 'tramp'. He reported it and blocked the profile."

The court heard the couple looked at the profile and linked it back to the affair, but it was not the last they would hear of Brown. On August 30, the man was invited to a WhatsApp chat and ignored it, but asked Brown's mother to get her to stop, reports Yorkshire Live.

However, in September the same year he got 14 text messages and eight phone calls from unknown numbers. Prosecutor Ms Brown told Leeds Crown Court said: "He called one back and a man answered, so he asked how he got his number. As a result of that conversation he looked online and found there was an advert on a site called Viva Street.

"He found pictures of his wife and his number. It is a website for escort and sexual services. He made contact with the website and they agreed to take it down and gave him a reference number to allow police to make enquiries."

The court heard Brown, from Morley near Leeds, had also made posts on a site the man used to advertise his business, which included comments about his wife. The prosecutor said "in desperation" he contacted Brown's father, but did not hear back, but Brown was made aware of the contact.

In a victim impact statement read to the court, the woman said: "I don't want to have to think about how her actions have affected me. I recall the moment my husband walked through the door - the combination of panic and upset on his face - and recalling the impact of her actions.

"They were my images and she shared them without my permission to unknown people whose sole intent to view them was for sexual gratification. I'm finding it hard to believe that a woman would do this to another to make me feel violated the way I do is an understatement.

Mitigating, Harry Crowson said: "My submissions may not please those who sit to support her, but the case goes back to before she had any responsibility when she was a child.

"She wasn't made aware, she discovered the affair and rather than being nurtured and supported, she was chatted down. Over the years, the woman existed to her in a bubble. The two of them never met. She became, to Eleanor Brown, a caricature - someone she knew nothing of but of what she was told. The years that followed were not easy years."

His Honour Judge Menary described Brown's offending as "vengeful and vindictive" and jailed her for three years.
