A two-bedroom flat has appeared on the market with a starting price that appears to be an absolute bargain - but some house-hunters have spotted an issue.

The ground-floor property, which is in the Croxteth area of Liverpool, has been listed for auction on Zoopla with an unbelievable starting price of £10k.

According to the list the flat compromises of an entrance hall, living room, kitchen and two bedrooms, and a bathroom on the first floor.

The listing continues: “For sale by auction is this vacant two-bedroom ground floor maisonette, in need of renovations. Once renovated, we expect an achievable rental income of £800 pcm.”

However pictures taken from the property show that it is missing large portions of its walls, the plumbing has been ripped out and there is a mysterious flood-type mess on the floor of what looks to be the living area.

While @Smeaton1724 jested: “Loving the industrial look”.

Reddit user @Whereareyouimsorry questioned the mysterious flood: “Genuine question- where is the water coming from?…”

While the auction price is low, the extent of the disrepair has shocked people online. One reddit user wrote: “The quality of housing for the cost is insane in this country.” While another commented: “Listing it with an expected rent of £800 a month is so depressing.”

They added: “I am so tired of landlords.” And @Sharkreceptacles replied “Depressing beyond belief.”
