5 million DWP benefit claimants to see full PIP and DLA payments rise up to £749 every month
by William Morgan · Manchester Evening NewsWith just a fortnight to go until the beginning of the new year, more than 5 million claimants of common Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) benefits will be looking forward to 2025, while also planning ahead for the payment upgrade expected - which will see some claimants getting £749 in financial help every month.
The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions recently confirmed that disability benefits, including Carer's Allowance, will increase by 1.7 per cent for the 2025/26 financial year. Liz Kendall MP also announced the new rates for benefits such as Personal Independence Payment (PIP), Disability Living Allowance (DLA) and Attendance Allowance, which will come into effect from April 7.
A successful PIP claim is currently worth between £28.70 and £184.30 each week in additional financial support. As the benefit is paid every four weeks—resulting in 13 payments over the course of a year instead of 12—this amounts to between £114.80 and £737.20 every payment period.

It's important to be aware the highest figure of £749.80 is based on someone in receipt of the highest award for both the daily living and mobility components, reports the Daily Record.
Attendance Allowance does not include a mobility component.
