This 'chilling' brainteaser has no correct answer - but it comes with a warning.

In most cases the puzzles are designed to be a bit of fun and are used to make the grey brain cells sharper. They enhance problem-solving skills an can can provide glimpse into our personalities. But this brainteaser is a little bit out of the ordinary. It challenges puzzlers to work out how a woman died mysteriously.

It is all the more intriguing because there is no incorrect answer and it has also been noted serial killers give a consistent answer. PlymouthLive reports one user on social media site Reddit remarked: "I heard that a lot of mental institutions ask this to people to see where their mental state is. There is no wrong answer, but apparently, all serial killers answer it the same way."

The brainteaser explains: "There are two sisters. They both go to their mum's funeral. While they are at the funeral, one of the sisters meets the man of her dreams. They spend all day together, and she can't believe how incredibly happy he makes her.

"They part ways at the end of the funeral, and both sisters go back home. The sister who met the man of her dreams earlier that day suddenly realises when she gets home that she forgot to get his contact information. A week later, the other sister dies. How did she die?"

One user gave a suitably black response and suggested dark hypothesis He said: "She was killed by her sister so she could go to the funeral and meet the guy again." Another poster joined the discussion and said: "But if there's no contact information, how would she invite the guy?" A third gave an eerie twist, saying: "I was thinking that they were twins, and the man of her dreams had been stalking her and accidentally killed her sister instead of her."

Adding to the dark theories the grim theories, another proposed: "I thought the other sister killed the sister that met the guy so she can pretend to be that sister and have the dream guy..." Diving deeper into macabre possibilities, another user added: "The man is a stalker/serial killer. He killed the mom and the sister to be with the other sister."

The original post's implies, those suspecting murder might be revealing their own gloomy view on life. But there was a voice of reason from one person in the discussion, another person said: "There is no wrong answer, so there are any number of ways she could have died. Maybe she was hit by a bus. Or had a heart attack. Why would you automatically assume her sister murdered her with no context of that given anywhere in the story?"
