A brother is desperately searching to find his younger sibling who disappeared almost a week ago.

Former teacher at Haberdashers’ Knights Academy, Sheldon Burrell, 25, was last seen by his older brother Andre Burrell at their home in the early hours of Thursday October, 31, in Catford, London. But since then, following numerous attempts to contact him, his family informed the Metropolitan Police and filed a missing person's report on November 2.

Andre says that he discovered that his brother's phone had been left in his room along with his wallet, passport, Apple watch and keys. Speaking to the Mirror Andre said: "I'm completely exhausted. I've gone through every emotion there is in the book to console my mum and try to reassure her when I have no general knowledge that what I'm saying is even the correct thing to say.

"It's like a movie almost. Its just been tough. It's a bit worse in the night time. In the daytime, everyone's a bit more busy, there's more things to do but when you're surrounded by your thoughts - that's when things get more difficult." After days of putting up missing person's flyers, reviewing neighbour's doorbell footage, Sheldon who previously worked as a teacher has yet to be found.

Andre says he has struggling to sleep while his brother remains missing as he says he's been contacting anyone who knows him. He also added that he believes his brother who is 6'1 may have shaved his beard if anyone spots him. Andre said: I've been in contact with everyone. We've been handing out flyers, we've been checking out the local parks and areas, trying to follow back on leads."

Initially, Andre says that he began to worry when his mum called him while he was away from home asking if he had heard from his brother as she couldn't get in contact with him.

Andre said: "Sheldon's 25-years-old, he could be out with friends, but then my mum said she started to get worried. I called Sheldon a few times and I said to my mum, 'if he doesn't respond back in the morning, let's do something about it.' His phone was in his room the whole time. We started finding his keys, his wallet, his apple watch, his phone his passport and the phone was reset to factory settings and our worries exponentially increased.

"His room was tidy and spotless. It looked like when you're going to go travelling and leave your room in a nice condition. It looked like he had made [the bed up] before he had left."

Andre has now issued a plea through the Mirror in hopes that Andre might see it. He said: "Sheldon needs to know that he is seen regardless of what he's experiencing and that the love is there and the love is guaranteed and that there is a place for him in this world. "
