by Paul Cunningham, https://www.facebook.com/rtenews/ · RTE.ieToday marks the final day of campaigning in the General Election, ahead of polling tomorrow.
With opinion polls suggesting the contest is too tight to call, party leaders and independent candidates will be campaigning across the country to convince undecided voters.
Fine Gael leader Simon Harris will tour several key Dublin constituencies for his party, including Dublin Bay South, Dublin Mid-West, Dublin West and Dublin North West.
Sinn Féin leader Mary Lou McDonald, along with candidates Matt Carthy and Eoin Ó Broin, will be outside Government Buildings this morning to suggest to voters that they are ready to govern.
This evening, Ms McDonald will attend the turning on of the Christmas tree lights in Ballybough, in her own constituency, and will also go to a bingo session in Cabra.
Fianna Fáil leader Micheál Martin will go further afield and campaign in the Wicklow constituency, as well as the newly created Wicklow-Wexford constituency.
