Watch: Teen disability activist's message to UN delegates

· RTE.ie

An 18-year-old disability activist from Dublin has told delegates at the United Nations that "actions speak louder than words".

James Casserly, who has cerebral palsy, has been attending the UN's first-ever Summit of the Future as a Global Youth Ambassador for Sightsavers.

During the two-day summit, the teenager met Taoiseach Simon Harris and Tánaiste Micheál Martin.

He also attended an 'intergenerational dialogue' with The Elders, an independent group of global leaders working together for peace, justice, human rights and a sustainable planet.

At home, James runs 'Jimbo’s Accessible Adventures’ on social media, advocating for better accessibility across Ireland.
