Child taken to hospital after dog attack

A child needed hospital treatment after being attacked by a dog which has now been seized by specialist officers. Police were called to an address at Llandudno Junction on Thursday, November 7.

Specialist officers were called to the property and the dog has been taken away. An image seen by North Wales Live appeared to show a nasty injury to the child's arm, with further images showing a large police presence in the area.

A North Wales Police statement said: "Officers attended an address in Llandudno Junction on Thursday afternoon, to reports of a child being injured by a dog. The dog was seized by specialist officers for destruction, and the child was taken to hospital.

"Our investigation into the circumstances of this incident is currently ongoing." The breed of the dog has not been identified by police.
