Bukedea teacher arrested for defiling P.7 pupil
by URN · The ObserverPolice in Bukedea district have arrested a primary teacher for allegedly defiling a 16-year-old girl.
Emmy Lorika, Bukedea district police commander identified the suspect as Alfred Oumo, a teacher at Kotia Primary School in Aligoi sub-county.
Oumo was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly defiling the orphan who had just completed her primary seven exams (PLE) at the same school. Sam Ojangole, the victim's uncle, says that the teacher lured the girl inside his house for prayers.
According to Ojangole, angry neighbours surrounded and broke into the house and he was found red-handed defiling the girl. Lorika, says that the suspect and the victim will be subjected to a medical examination.
