The inquest heard from a Coroner's officer that emergency services were called to the scene around 11.30pm after receiving 999 calls from the public.

Assistant coroner for South Wales Kerrie Burge adjourned the full inquest to take place at a later date, which is yet to be confirmed.

According to Wales Online, Burge said "Based on the evidence this morning I am satisfied it is necessary to open an inquest into the death of Brendan Thomas Moore.

"There is reason to suspect his death is unnatural…further evidence needs to be gathered therefore the inquest is to be adjourned to a later date.” Concluding the opening she offered her sincere condolences to Brandan’s family".

A death notice was posted this week for Brendan on RIP.ie, explaining that the teen died "tragically in Bridgend, Wales".

Many condolences were left for the teenager online, with dozens of tributes describing Brendan as "such a lovely young man".

Kildare GAA club Sarsfields wrote: "Our deepest condolences to Sean and Kirsty and all the Moore family on the sad passing of Brendan. May he rest in peace".

Brendan will be reposing at Watkins Funeral Home in Bridgend, Wales. A Funeral and cremation service will take place for Brendan on Wednesday 9th October at 2:45pm in Coychurch Crematorium, Bridgend.
