Uisce Éireann restore water supply to customers in Kildare following overnight works

A burst water mains was repaired to restore supply to Carbury, Derrinturn, Killina, Allenwood, Coil Dubh, Robertstown, Prosperous and surrounding areas

A burst water mains was repaired in the early hours of this morning following overnight works to restore supply to Carbury, Derrinturn, Killina, Allenwood, Coil Dubh, Robertstown, Prosperous and surrounding areas.

As the network fills and supplies return throughout the morning customers may experience discolouration to their supply. Customers on higher ground or at the end of the network may experience intermittent disruption or low water pressure for a number of hours. Uisce Éireann’s Ibrahim Fathalla said “We would like to thank residents and businesses for their patience and understanding while crews worked to restore supply. Some customers may have brown water and we would ask these customers to run their taps for up to 20 minutes until the water runs clear.”
