Alleged burglary at Rathangan, County Kildare residence detailed to Naas District Court

Three people allegedly forced their way into a home in Rathangan.

That’s according to gardaí who were present in Naas District Court on Thursday, September 19 last.

Gardaí claim that the three defendants entered into the property without permission of the residents on August 21 last.

The suspects in this case are listed as follows: David Hamilton, 43, with an address listed as Feighcullen in Rathangan; Lindsey Kelly, 37, with an address listed as 26 Coolaghknock Avenue, The Plains in Kildare town; and Cameron Kelly, 18, with an address listed as 3 The Meadows in Rathangan.

It was heard that Mr Hamilton and Ms Kelly are partners, and that Ms Kelly is the aunt of Mr Kelly.

A fourth suspect was mentioned, but their identity was not disclosed before the court by gardaí.

ACCUSATIONS

The judge was told that the trio allegedly 'forced their way into the house.'

It was further alleged by gardaí that the residents, one man and one woman, were 'badly assaulted.'

The man allegedly suffered an abrasion to his face, while the woman allegedly suffered some bruises and cuts.

Judge Zaidan adjourned the case to March 5, 2025, to allow time for directions from the Director of Public Prosecutions to be prepared.

He remanded all three defendants on continuing bail until the case resumes on this date.
