Plans have been submitted for a redevelopment of Norton House in Naas.

The building, which dates to 1830, is located on the Dublin Road.

A planning application was submitted to Kildare County Council on the matter.

Being planned is  the change of use from previous office use.

The designs provide for sub-dividing the building into four one-bed apartments on the ground.

Also planned is a plant room and storage room to the upper floor of the rear annex of the protected structure.

The house is considered of social and historic interest as early evidence of the development and expansion of the historic core of Naas in the mid nineteenth century.
