Woman charged with drunk and dangerous driving after highway crash near Dundurn kills two

RCMP have charged a 32-year-old woman from the RM of Blucher with drunk driving, dangerous driving and criminal negligence after a truck driving north in the southbound lanes of Highway 11 near Dundurn struck an SUV, killing two people.

The crash happened around 9:45 p.m. Saturday about one kilometre north of Dundurn, RCMP said in a news release.

Two women, ages 50 and 20, were in the SUV and were pronounced dead at the scene. Both were from Lake Isle, Alberta, the release said. Their names were not released.
