New Saskatoon city council to be inaugurated tonight

New and familiar faces will take their seats in city council chambers. The first regular council meeting is next week.

New and familiar faces will take their seats in city council chambers on Wednesday.

Two items are on the 6 p.m. agenda: the returning officer’s declaration of the official election results, as well as the appointments for deputy mayor and council’s standing policy committees.

The declaration verifies the results from election night: the new mayor is Cynthia Block; Kathryn MacDonald represents Ward 1; Senos Timon represents Ward 2; Robert Pearce represents Ward 3; Troy Davies represents Ward 4; Randy Donauer represents Ward 5; Jasmin Parker represents Ward 6; Holly Kelleher represents Ward 7; Scott Ford represents Ward 8; Bev Dubois represents Ward 9 and Zach Jeffries represents Ward 10.
