Woman charged with multiple shoplifting offences in Black Country

A woman is due in court to face multiple shoplifting offences. Thefts were recorded from shops in West Bromwich and Tipton during November, police said.

Grace Freeth, aged 21 and of no fixed address, was arrested in connection with the crimes and charged. She was due to appear at Walsall Magistrates' Court today, Thursday, December 12.

West Midlands Police said: "We've charged a woman over shoplifting in Sandwell. We arrested a 21-year-old in connection with thefts following enquiries by our Tipton neighbourhood team.

"Grace Freeth, aged 21 and of no fixed address, was yesterday charged with three shop thefts in West Bromwich and Tipton during November. She was remanded to appear at Walsall Magistrates' Court today.

"We fully understand the impact and frustration of shop thefts on businesses and we're carrying out ongoing activity to identify and detain suspects."
