Biker seriously injured in crash outside Solihull school as police seal off major route
by Harry Leach, http://www.facebook.com/harrylleach/ · Birmingham LiveA motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash outside a Solihull school this afternoon. The collision, between the biker and a van, happened near Park Hall Academy, based in Water Orton Road, Castle Bromwich, at around 2.10pm.
Police sealed off the road in both directions following the crash. The biker, understood to be a man aged in his 20s, was seriously injured.
West Midlands Police said it did not believe the collision involved anyone from the school. But the force said there may have been "a number of witnesses" and urged anyone with information to get in touch.

Water Orton Road remained closed at 5.40pm, according to traffic website Inrix. Bus service X13 was being diverted.
Inspector Andy Bridgewater of West Midlands Police said: "We understand that people and pupils will be concerned and we can confirm that we do not believe that the collision involved anyone from the school. However, there may have been a number of witnesses.
"We are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything that could help our investigation to come forward. If you have any information then please call us on 101, quoting log number 2537 28/11/24."
We have contacted West Midlands Ambulance Service for comment.
