Exact locations of most Birmingham crimes revealed in new report

Birmingham city centre was unsurprisingly the location where most incidents were reported. More than 13,000 crimes happened there in a 12-month period. While Aston was the second highest area with just over 5,000 crimes and South Yardley third with just over 4,500.
West Midlands Garage Doors and Online Marketing Surgery helped rank areas in Birmingham by their total amount of crimes. It looked at the Police UK website and sourced each area’s crimes reported between September 2023 and August 2024.

Data also showed the safest places across the city. The NEC has just 571 crimes recorded during the time period. Four Oaks was second and Sutton Vesey came in third.
Across the country, Westminster had the highest crime rate with 464.4 crimes per 1,000 people up to March this year. Below is the table for both sets of data in our city.
