Police probing Birmingham Greggs robbery and attack issue picture of woman officers want to speak to

West Midlands Police are probing a robbery after a group stole items from a Greggs in Birmingham before a staff member was attacked. Police issued a picture of a woman who officers want to speak to.

The nasty incident happened at the bakery on Austin Way, near Hamstead train station. Drinks were stolen from the fridge inside before a staff member tried to stop the group from leaving the shop.

Police are appealing for information. No arrests have been made and inquiries continue.

In a plea, Birmingham Police: "Recognise this woman? We're looking to speak to her after a robbery in Birmingham. Shortly after 3pm on 8 September, a group of people entered Greggs in Austin Way, stealing drinks from the fridge inside.

"A staff member who tried to stop the group from leaving was assaulted. We are keen to speak to this woman as we think she may be able to help with our enquiries. If you recognise her, contact us via 101 or Live Chat quoting crime number 20/803564/24."
