14 vehicles seized from Birmingham neighbourhood as part of insurance crackdown

West Midlands Police seized 14 vehicles from a Birmingham neighbourhood. The vehicles, including cars and bikes, were taken off the streets due to having no insurance.

The seizures were made as part of a targeted operation on uninsured road users. The operation was carried out in the Small Heath area of Birmingham.

One vehicle was seen being loaded onto the back of a flatbed lorry. While others featured 'seized by police' stickers declaring the vehicles had 'no insurance'.

The incident was shared on X/Twitter by WMP Traffic, which tweeted yesterday evening (November 15): "#RHPT with #247interceptors continue the #OpDriveInsured24 campaign. Today we were in the @SmallHeathWMP area with 14 vehicles recovered @DriveInsured #RoadSafety."

It was the latest targeted operation in the city. It comes as Operation Skybridge targeted crime in the Handsworth and other areas of the city.

Multiple arrests were made while knives and a hammer were seized alongside a number of Audis following patrols in Handsworth and other areas of Birmingham.
