A man has died after a fall at a major Birmingham shopping centre. The incident took place at the Bullring in the centre of the city at around 9pm on Friday (December 13).

The popular shopping site was closing up when witnesses reported a man falling from an upper level. Emergency services rushed to the scene.

However, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. West MidlandsPolice have said the death is not being treated as being suspicious. The force confirmed the case would now be passed to the city’s coroner.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said officers were called to the scene but unable to do anything and the man passed away. She said: “We were called at 9.04pm on Friday (December 13) after a man fell from the upper level of the Bullring. The man sadly died at the scene.

“His next-of-kin have been informed and his death is not being treated as suspicious.”
