Car crashes into Quinton bus stop and bollards opposite school

The incident happened opposite Four Dwellings School

A car crashed into a bus stop and bollards in Quinton. The police and a recovery truck were called to Dwellings Lane at around 5pm on Tuesday, October 14.

Nearby Four Dwellings School had closed for the day and no-one was said to have been injured.

The National Express WM No. 24 bus service was diverted in both directions via Quinton Road West. There was no service on Dwellings Lane, Highfield Lane or Simmons Drive. It was later reinstated.

West Midlands Police has been contacted for comment.

Coun Sam Forsyth said: "A car has crashed into the bollards & bus stop by the shops at the top of Dwellings Lane , opposite Four Dwellings School. The police, highways & a recovery truck are at the scene

"Please avoid the area. The No.24 bus has been diverted.

"If you have any relevant information about the crash, please contact the police as if this had happened at school closing time , it could have been very different."
