Birmingham mum and baby missing for four days as public told 'call 999'

Concern is growing for a missing Birmingham mum and her baby daughter. West Midlands Police said Aleena and her daughter Saharah went missing at the start of the week on Monday, November 11.

Mum Aleena is 36 and her daughter Saharah is nearly two years old. The force have issued a plea to the public for help in tracking them both down.

CCTV images were issued along with the missing person appeal on Birmingham Police's Facebook page on Friday afternoon. Officers want to make sure Aleena and Saharah are okay, and have urged anyone who sees them, or has information that could help, to call 999 immediately.

It is believed they could both be in a particular Birmingham neighbourhood. The Facebook post has since been shared nearly 500 times by concerned members of the public.

A Birmingham Police spokesperson said: "We need your help finding Aleena, aged 36, and her daughter Saharah, who is nearly two.

"They went missing earlier this week and we have been working to find them ever since, but now need your help. They are believed to be in the Stratford Road area of Birmingham.

"We need to check they’re OK, so anyone with information has been asked to get in touch on 999 quoting 4158 of 11 November."
