Oscar Pistorius 'finds love' after release from prison

Oscar Pistorius has reportedly found new love with a beautiful blonde woman shortly after being released on parole. The 38 year old served nine years in prison for the murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp at his home in Pretoria, South Africa.

Known as the "Blade Runner" due to his prosthetic running blades, the Paralympic champion shot Steenkamp dead in his bathroom, claiming he mistook her for an intruder while she was in the toilet. Despite his claims, Reeva's family have always insisted the act was deliberate.

The Valentine's Day shooting in 2013 sent shockwaves around the globe, resulting in Pistorius' initial conviction for culpable homicide, which was later elevated to murder. His release on January 5, 2024, was surrounded by controversy, with Pistorius maintaining that Reeva's death was an accident.

South African publication Netwerk24 has reported that Pistorius, now residing with his uncle in a secure mansion in Pretoria, is romantically involved with Rita Greyling, a 33 year old business management consultant from Wakkerstroom in Mpumalanga, who is also a long-standing family friend. .

According to sources close to the couple, Oscar Pistorius and Rita are reportedly in a romantic relationship, although details are being kept private, reports the Mirror.

The police later changed the investigation from accidental death to murder. Friends suggest that the shared experiences of tragedy between the Pistorius and Greyling families brought them together, marking a new beginning for both.

Rita is a successful business management consultant, while Pistorius is attempting to rebuild his life after his release, living with his wealthy uncle. A source close to Pistorius revealed: "He is trying to rebuild his life in a low-key way and avoids bars and restaurants and the general public and is flying under the radar.

"He is slowly trying to reintegrate into society but that is being done through families that his family have been close to for decades and is slowly slowly. The word on the street for three months now is that he is dating again."

Oscar Pistorius is residing in a cottage within the secure estate of his wealthy Uncle Arnold, and he's been dedicating time to volunteer work at a nearby Dutch Reform Church. The former Paralympian, who isn't slated for release until 2029, faces routine checks from the Department of Corrections, as they monitor his compliance with substance regulations on parole.

His movements are limited; Pistorius must notify local authorities before leaving the area, and he's forbidden from possessing firearms or contacting Reeva Steenkamp's mother and sister.
