Human remains found after huge barn fire

Human remains have been found after a huge barn fire in Warwickshire. Police said the remains were yet to be identified today, Wednesday, November 20.

Five engines from Warwickshire Fire and Rescue Service, along with police and paramedics, were called to a barn in Wood End, Atherstone, last night, Tuesday, November 19.

Two fire crews and police investigators remained at the scene this morning, CoventryLive reports. A Warwickshire Police spokesperson said the fire was not being treated as suspicious as the force appealed for information.

Warwickshire Police said: "At 8pm on November 19, we were called to a fire at a barn in Wood End, Atherstone. Fire and ambulance services were in attendance. The fire was under control by 10pm. There are believed to be human remains in the barn which have not been confirmed or identified as of this morning. The cause of the fire is not being treated as suspicious at this time.

"If anyone has any information that can help with our investigation, contact us citing incident 316 of November 19."
