Group with machetes outside pub as police issue CCTV images of man who 'could help inquiry'

West Mercia Police said trouble happened after eight men gathered outside The Bakery on Worcester Road in Malvern

Police are probing violent disorder after an altercation between two men carrying machetes erupted outside a Worcestershire pub. West Mercia Police said it followed a group of around eight men who had gathered outside The Bakery on Worcester Road in Malvern.

Nobody was injured and all the men left the area, police said. The force has now issued CCTV images of a man who was thought to be in the area at the time and may be able to help with their inquiries.

No arrests have been made, police inquiries are ongoing.

In a statement, police said: "Officers would like to speak with this man to help with their enquiries into violent disorder on Worcester Road in Malvern. The incident happened around 12:30pm on 29 September when a group of around eight men gathered outside The Bakery. There was an altercation between two men carrying machetes.

"Nobody was injured, and all the men left the area. Officers are keen to speak to the man pictured as it’s thought he was in the area at the time and may be able to help with enquiries.
